Job Title: Yard Manager / Plant Purchaser

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and organized Yard Manager / Plant and Material Purchaser to join our landscaping team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and material yard, as well as managing plant purchases and inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and vendors.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the facility and material yard.
• Collaborate with different departments and vendors to ensure efficient operations.
• Load and unload trucks, manage deliveries, and dispatch delivery drivers.
• Maintain accurate inventory and ensure an organized, safety-focused facility.
• Oversee the purchasing of plants and other materials needed for landscaping projects.
• Ensure all equipment and materials are properly maintained and stored.

Required Skills and Values:

• Strong focus on safety and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with a diverse team.
• Knowledge of horticulture and familiarity with hardscape materials.
• Snow and Ice removal knowledge of salts, spreaders, plows, shoveling, etc
• Knowledge of disposal and recycling programs for various materials.
• Proven management skills and experience with heavy equipment and large trucks.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with technology and email communication.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Enjoy working outside in various weather conditions.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the landscaping or horticulture industry.
• Experience with inventory management and purchasing.
