Job Description

Brigade Energy Services is one of the largest and fastest-growing privately held Workover Rig companies in the United States. We are searching for Workover Rig Supervisors in Hobbs, NM.

The Rig Supervisor manages crew members, maintains productivity standards, and works closely with customers to ensure quality products and services are provided safely. The Rig Supervisor will need to be able to exhibit a working knowledge of all parts of a Workover Rig and should be able to troubleshoot the mechanics of the rig and equipment on site.
  • Partners with District Managers to plan the logistics of the job.
  • Provides proper guidance and direction to rig crew on job tasks.
  • Facilitates and develops work Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and develops hazard assessments with crews before the job.
  • Responsible for keeping the work site, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order.
  • Operates the rig and equipment following the contractual terms and conditions as requested or designated by the customers.
  • Responsible for stopping work if conditions are unsafe and reports concerns immediately, including all hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents, and injuries.
  • Maintains regular contact and communication with customers to resolve concerns, issues, and complaints while building customer relationships and providing superior customer service and technical support.
  • Ensures that quality products and services are provided to the customers, including maintaining productivity standards for all rig functions, following safety procedures for a safe working environment for all rig employees, and adhering to all applicable governmental regulations for compliance.
  • Ensures efficient maintenance of assigned rig and equipment.
  • Conducts pre-job operating procedures and safety meetings with crew and 3rd parties at the well site.
  • Ensures all field paperwork, including but not limited to fuel reports, logbooks, job tickets, post-job treatment reports, Transport of Dangerous Goods reports, quarterly inspection reports, equipment inspections, etc., are completely and accurately filled out, audited, and approved.
  • Track costs, labor, and revenues associated with jobs. Provide weekly cost analysis to the operations manager to meet budget components and time constraints.
  • Provide technical assistance, supervision, and training to other team members on location to ensure work is carried out according to set schedules and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain a positive work environment for the rig crew, including training and coaching them in their assigned duties.
  • Attends weekly safety meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement is preferred.
  • 5+ years of operating a workover rig as a Rig Supervisor.
  • 5+ years of oilfield service experience - (Knowledge and demonstrate competency in rigging up/down and well servicing operations.)
  • Knowledge and experience in oilfield well servicing are required.
Working Requirements:
  • 5-6 years of experience working on a well-servicing rig is preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully perform the duties of a rig operator, floor hand, and derrick hand.
  • Ability to perform manual labor required to operate well-servicing equipment.
  • Good communication, people, and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Can perform in outdoor working environments in extreme temperatures and conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must provide proof of right to work in the United States, have a clean driving record, and pass a drug screen and background check.
