Position Summary

The Workers’ Compensation Adjuster will independently manage a caseload, using sound judgment and decision-making skills to investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims. This role requires strong analytical capabilities and the ability to manage claims through payment, settlement, or denial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine compensability of claims.
  • Set and manage appropriate financial reserves.
  • Issue benefit payments timely and in compliance with Utah statutes and regulations.
  • Oversee the litigation process, including participation in mediations, depositions, or trials when necessary.
  • Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities and recovery efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Workers’ Compensation Adjuster.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or a combination of experience and relevant industry designations).
  • In-depth knowledge of Utah Workers’ Compensation statutes, rules, and case law.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and interpreting medical documentation.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
  • Active Utah Adjuster’s License.
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional industry designations such as AIC (Associate in Claims) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter).
