Your Tasks Manage and coordinate laser and MIG welding technologies engineering and welding production at Brose New Boston Plant, leading a subordinate Welding Engineering Team of 3 specialists, each with 10+ years of Brose welding machine experience, to ensure high-volume production of mechatronic seat systems (1st, 2nd, and 3rd row), base structures, backrests, loadthroughs, and center consoles. Direct and supervise engineering and technical Welding Shop personnel to set up and ensure electro-pneumatic configurations, and validate the configuration, programming, and maintenance of laser and MIG welding machinery using systems like 4D Weld Watcher and Tru-tops, Brose-Robot interfaces (BRIs), Autodyne/AWL software, and others. Program laser light of disc lasers, configure laser optical systems, perform digital measurements, analyze metallurgical compositions, and utilize Blackbird laser on-the-fly programming with expanded envelope. Ensure semi-fully synchronization of robotic systems and monitor destructive testing methods in compliance with internal, OEM, and American Welding Society standards. Your Profile Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. At least 24 months of experience as a Coordinator, Team Leader, Manager, or similar role, supervising engineering and technical personnel in welding shop environments, with expertise in electro-pneumatic configurations, programming and maintenance of laser and MIG welding machinery, and robotic system synchronization.
