Weekend Receptionist Shrine of Divine Mercy (Weekends; Must have flexibility to cover time off for weekday receptionist) General Description: The Weekend Receptionist serves as a representative of the Congregation of Marians of the Immaculate Conception by hosting the Shrine Receptionist area in a professional, hospitable manner as directed by the Rector. Performs additional duties as requested. We are looking for one or two people to cover the Saturday and Sunday schedule at the Shrine. The successful candidate will receive pilgrims and phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner. In addition, the Receptionist responds to Shrine email correspondence, contacts priests to provide special assistance to pilgrims and overall keeps the Shrine reception area running smoothly for staff and pilgrims alike. Finally, the Receptionist maintains, records and reports financial transactions related to Mass requests and donations for Mass offerings by check, cash and credit card. Hours: Must be available to work Saturdays and/or Sundays from 8:30am to 5:00pm, with a half-hour lunch. The Weekend Receptionist(s) also helps cover vacations and holidays for the Weekday Receptionist. EXPERIENCE: Background in service to pilgrims and a general understanding of the Roman Catholic faith.
