Great Part Time Job Working 2-4 Days/ Week 9am-4pm
(8-15hrs)
Welcome to Chicago Urban Pets We are a team of 6-8 dog walkers and cat sitters who have been sharing our love for animals with the city of Chicago for the past 10 years.
Chicago Urban Pets is well-established and always looking to welcome friendly faces (and wagging tails).
We are inclusive to all different types of hoomans (from race - identity - to age) as we are dogs!
**HEADS UP WE ASK ALL TEAM MEMBERS TO BIKE AND A MINIMUM 6 MONTH COMMITMENT NEEDED**
A Day in the Life of a Chicago Urban Pets Dog Walkers Wake up at a decent hour (most walks don't start until 10am) and double check your schedule for the day on our PAWsome app (Time to Pet). Each pup for the day will be listed by timeframe of arrival and their routine info is just a click of a button away. (because why make it complicated?)
Check in at every visit you arrive at, greet happy pups and get your steps in walking them in their neighborhoods. End a successful pup-visit by sending their hooman a report through the (same) app with cute pics from the walk..
ps. your phone WILL be filled with pup pics by the first week on the job! whoops
Please only apply if: - You are comfortable bicycling in the city.
- You can commit to the same days 9am-4pm for 6 months or longer.
- You live nearby or roughly within a 5 mile radius to Lakeview East.
- You are comfortable walking both large and small dogs.
- You are comfortable handling smart phones and using APP's (We use Time to Pet and Slack)
**Please no summer work applications** What you will absolutely LOVE about Chicago Urban Pets - Super friendly morning morning and weekend office managers (shout out to Sophie and Emma!! woot woot)
- Intial paid training and continued education while on our team
- Supportive team that loves to connect and share pup selfies on our online private chat space (Slack)
