About the Role

The Warehouse Manager will oversee and manage all warehouse operations. This role will ensure the safe, accurate and timely receiving and storage of all inbound products and selection and loading of all outbound product, and ensure the safety, security, and efficient operation of the entire facility.

This position is full-time, exempt at our Secaucus, NJ warehouse. The warehouse is a high velocity, conditioned facility, and is our primary operational location for importing and selling specialty perishable food products to our customers. We successfully transitioned to WMS operation earlier this summer.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the goals of the warehouse are being met
• Oversee all daily warehouse operations including picking, receiving, shipping, maintenance, and sanitation
• Respond promptly to any exceptions/issues and provide a high level of customer service
• Train new employees on company policies, safety compliance, and warehouse procedures
• Manage warehouse projects and initiatives and achieve desired results and stakeholder satisfaction within budget and schedule
• Track productivity to meet company’s requirements and maximize operational efficiency
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Assist with employee schedules, workloads and productivity and ensure that all picking, loading, and replenishing are done correctly and completed
• Manage customer order fulfillment, including labelling, storage, picking, and coordinating transportation as needed to serve the customer
• Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist commercial teams in solving operational issues

What you will bring to this role:

• Four-year degree or equivalent preferred
• 5+ years of relevant work experience such as warehouse, operations, supply chain, facilities maintenance, military, and/or manufacturing/production
• Previous managerial experience strongly preferred
• Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems
• Experience with food or related wholesaling or distribution a plus
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HAACP and other regulatory requirements
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills within all levels of an organization
• The ability to make decisions, problem-solve, prioritize assignments and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word a plus
• Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
• Bilingual conversation ability (Spanish) a plus
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
