About the Role
The Company is in need of a Vice President of Manufacturing to take on a pivotal role in providing both strategic and operational leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a non-union production facility that manufactures a range of frozen treats, including ice cream, frozen yogurt, and other novelties. This role involves managing the production, distribution, and warehousing processes, as well as ensuring quality compliance, inventory control, and operational efficiencies. The Vice President will also be tasked with leading a team, creating a positive work environment, and engaging in sales and business development activities with co-packing customers. Candidates for the Vice President of Manufacturing position at The Company should have a college degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with a preference for those with a background in manufacturing, engineering, business, or food science. A minimum of 7-10 years of operational and management experience in a food production environment, including at least 5 years in ice cream manufacturing, is required. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in assessing operational programs, strong analytical and project management skills, and the ability to create and lead cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is the capacity to operate effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment. The Vice President will also be expected to manage relationships with regulatory agencies, ensure food safety standards are met, and collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels.
