About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Ice Cream Manufacturing to provide strategic and operational leadership for its production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality compliance, inventory control, and efficiencies of the manufacturing process, as well as managing the operational budget and profit and loss statements. This role involves working closely with various teams to ensure that business objectives are met, including production, distribution, and warehousing. The Vice President will also be tasked with coaching and counseling direct reports, creating a positive work environment, and demonstrating strong integrity and ethics. Additionally, the role includes sourcing and purchasing raw ingredients, managing relationships with regulatory agencies, and collaborating with co-packing customers. Candidates for the Vice President position should have a college degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a related field, and at least 7-10 years' of operational and management experience in a food production environment, with a minimum of 5 years' in ice cream manufacturing. The role requires a strong background in food technology, planning, scheduling, and project management, as well as the ability to prioritize operations and manage multiple tasks. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong drive for change, possess excellent analytical and organizational skills, and have a proven track record in leadership and problem-solving. Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules and budgets.
