The Vehicle Inspector is a key team member that will be responsible for maintaining high quality and safety standards on the wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions we produce.

What you'll do:

  • Perform visual vehicle inspections for mechanical & electrical function to ensure compliance with safety regulations and our quality standards.
  • Identify and document accurate data regarding defects or discrepancies.
  • Communicate results of inspections to managers, supervisors, and production staff.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Provide feedback and make recommendations to improve Quality processes.
  • Participate in quality audits & training and provide recommendations on ways to improve efficiency.
  • Perform routine checks on diagnostic tools and equipment ensuring accuracy and functionality.
  • Maintain compliance with Freedom Motors quality and safety standards, policies and procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience in vehicle inspection/quality control in the transportation/logistics or related field preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of vehicle mechanics and systems.
  • Ability to analyze data, perform calculations, read & interpret blueprints, and possess basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, willingness to take on greater challenges, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong time-management skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
  • Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record.
