Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
We're seeking a talented UX Design Intern that is passionate about great design, accessibility, and being an advocate for the user. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate and learn from professionals in a wide variety of fields, including software development, electrical and mechanical engineering, distribution and logistics, project management, sales and marketing, and of course, UX design. You'll contribute to user research, wireframing, prototyping, and design systems, continuously refining our design processes to ensure exceptional user experiences across our digital platforms.
Responsibilities/Duties:
· Design Support: Assist in the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs for mobile and web applications.
· User Research: Participate in data analysis, user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviors.
· Collaboration: Work closely with the Product and Development teams to ensure design consistency and alignment with project goals.
· Iteration: Gather feedback from stakeholders and users, and iterate on designs to improve usability and aesthetics.
· Accessibility Compliance: Help ensure our digital products meet WCAG accessibility standards.
· Design Documentation: Maintain and update design specifications and documentation to support development and implementation.
· Design System Management: Assist in the creation, implementation, and governance of the corporate design system.
Required Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field
· Familiarity with Figma and other design tools
· Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and visual design
· Ability to communicate design concepts through sketches, wireframes, and prototypes
· An engaging design portfolio that demonstrates a working understanding of the principles and skills listed above
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills
