SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday – 40 hours per week. ______________________________________________________________________ JOB DESCRIPTION Mindbank is performing technical and engineering support services for our client in Washington, DC. We are looking for a UI/UX Developer/Tester person who can work directly for Mindbank for 2-3 months in a remote role to help support our client who is building an internal website. Subcontractor who possesses the necessary skills, in-depth knowledge, and experience to work on software engineering projects within the Department in connection with stabilizing and securing a high-profile external website, herein referred to the Citizenship Website. UI/UX Engineer Job Responsibilities: In this job you will provide a UI/UX engineering support services to design and develop the user interface and user experience of a Website, ensuring scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions that meet project requirements. • User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviors. • Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications. • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure design consistency. • Interaction Design: Design and define the behavior of interactive elements within the user interface. • Visual Design: Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and visual assets to ensure a cohesive look and feel. • User Testing: Facilitate user testing sessions and analyze feedback to iterate on designs. • Information Architecture: Organize and structure information to create an intuitive and efficient user experience. • Accessibility: Ensure that designs comply with accessibility standards and best practices. • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation and specifications for development teams. • Support the design and development of responsive and intuitive user interfaces • Support implementation of enhancements, fixes, or configuration changes to the application as needed. Qualifications: • Must have a Public Trust Clearance. • Work Permit must be US Citizen. • Must have strong UI/UX experience • Knowledge of React components, hooks, and frontend testing patterns • Experience with Python testing frameworks (pytest, unit test, requests for API testing) • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for React components. • Understanding of RESTful APIs and Python web frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI) • Knowledge of AWS services and cloud. • Must have experience doing user testing for a website.
