Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney to join in Wilmington. This role is ideal for an attorney with extensive experience in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families. The successful candidate will independently lead client relationships, draft sophisticated estate planning documents, and implement complex tax strategies. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, client-focused environment without a requirement for an existing book of business.

Location:

• Wilmington, DE

Duties:

• Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on complex estate planning strategies
• Draft both foundational and advanced estate planning documents, including irrevocable trusts
• Incorporate estate, gift, and income tax planning into client strategies
• Lead client meetings and maintain long-term client relationships
• Collaborate with internal legal teams and support staff to implement client plans
• Stay current with evolving tax laws and trust/estate planning best practices

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in trusts and estates law
• Proven ability to independently manage complex estate planning matters
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the DE (required)

Skills:

• Expertise in estate, gift, and income tax planning
• High-level drafting and legal writing proficiency
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
