Radiation Therapist – Day Shift
Location: Disney Cancer Center, 501 S Buena Vista St, Burbank, CA 91505
Shift: Day – 5x8-Hour (07:30 AM – 04:00 PM)
Start Date: ASAP

Facility Overview

Join a dynamic team at the Disney Cancer Center , part of a 392-bed acute care teaching hospital located in Burbank, CA. This advanced cancer treatment center is equipped with state-of-the-art Elekta equipment and utilizes the MOSAIQ EMR system. The facility supports a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, offering both standard and specialized treatment procedures.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Radiation Therapist with at least 1 year of experience to deliver high-quality radiation therapy to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population. This position is suited for professionals passionate about providing compassionate care in a technologically advanced environment.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Radiation Therapist
• Certifications Required:
  • ARRT (T)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • California State License (no pending licenses accepted)
• Experience with:
  • Elekta equipment (Versa HD, Synergy, Infinity, Precise)
  • CBCT/kV/mV imaging
  • CT Simulation
  • Emergency Cases
  • Chart Check
  • DIBH (Deep Inspiration Breath Hold) for left breast treatments
  • SRS/SBRT procedures
• Preferred Skills:
  • Beam Modifying/Positioning
  • Block Cutting
  • Electron Fields
  • Respiratory Gating
  • Breath Hold Techniques
• EMR Systems:
  • MOSAIQ (preferred)
  • Charting system experience preferred

Work Environment

• Setting: Adult Acute Care and Outpatient
• Patient Demographics: Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Daily Census: Approximately 35 patients
• Rooms: 4 Radiation Treatment Rooms
• Oncology Cases Treated:
  • Leukemia, Lymphomas (Hodgkin’s & Non-Hodgkin’s), Kidney, Pancreatic, Testicular, and Breast Cancers

• RTO: Must be submitted at the time of application

• Scrubs: Any color
