Physical Therapist

Location: 10 Union Square East, 10 Union Square East New York Ny 10003

Shift Hours: 8am-415pm M-F

Description:

Duties:

• Conducts initial examinations and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Implements and modifies therapy interventions; coordinates with other disciplines as needed.
• Completes timely documentation: initial exams, progress notes, summaries, and discharges.
• Trains families, caregivers, and medical staff on therapy protocols.
• Recommends durable medical equipment and writes letters of medical necessity.
• Participates in discharge planning and provides home exercise programs.
• Attends conferences, rounds, in-services, and assigned clinics.
• Provides coverage for additional patients based on staffing needs.
• Maintains accurate therapy attendance, charges, and statistics.
• Supervises Rehab Patient Care Associates, volunteers, and students.
• Maintains active APTA membership.
• Adheres to all MSH policies and procedures.

2 yrs of PT exp needed

Skills:

0 - 1 year of experience 

Current New York State Physical Therapy license

Excellent oral, communications and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate analytical problem solving skills 

Intermediate MS Office Suite

Education:

Bachelor's degree. Master's preferred
