Pharmacist – Belcourt, ND

 

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at the Indian Health Services Hospital in Belcourt, North Dakota. This is a meaningful opportunity to serve communities in need, where patients often travel great distances to receive care.

 

Available Location:

• Pharmacy Department – Belcourt, North Dakota, 58316

Shift: Work shifts will be scheduled based on staffing needs and shall not exceed 40 hours per week. The typical work week will be 40 hours/week Monday to Friday. Normal shift will be 8 hours with a 30 minute lunch. Alternate shift of 10 hour per day with 30 minute lunch depending on the need. Weekend coverage may also be required

Contract Length: 1 year commitment

Pay Rate: $65.00 per hour + $31.15 per hour in stipends

 

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations and hospital protocols
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, interactions, and patient safety
• Provide consultations and education to patients regarding medication usage and side effects
• Maintain inventory of medications and order supplies as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care
• Participate in quality assurance and medication safety programs
• Support hospital and clinic operations as needed with professional pharmacy services

Requirements:

• Pharmacist diploma from an accredited institution
• Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• 2 recent letters of reference
• COVID, flu, measles, rubella vaccination
