Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Telemetry - Cardiac Unit Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15) Guaranteed Hours: Available upon inquiry Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active IL license required; pending licenses may be accepted Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) preferred Must-Have: - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Telemetry on-unit and remote monitoring - Use of Rapid Response Teams - Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath experience - IV insulin protocols expertise - IV therapy and phlebotomy skills - Heparin Protocols and management of cardiac drips - Chest tubes management, CPAP/BIPAP, and oxygen therapy skills - Isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac experience Job Description: - Work in a Level I trauma center, providing acute care within a Magnet hospital - Manage an average daily patient census of 25 - Float within scope to meet facility needs, including like units such as Medical-Surgical/Cardiac units - Every other weekend work requirement: Friday/Saturday for night shifts, Saturday/Sunday for day shifts - Engage in professional development and meet non-clinical module requirements virtually - Participate in a professional environment focused on patient care and teamwork
