Overview

Triangle Springs is seeking an experienced Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join its behavioral health team. This role is ideal for nurses who are compassionate, patient-focused, and skilled in providing care to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the psychiatric unit, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment.
• Administer medications and therapeutic interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition, including crisis intervention when necessary.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, coping strategies, and discharge instructions.
• Support a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to facility protocols and safety standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient-centered care planning.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years recent psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; CPI or equivalent crisis intervention training preferred.
• Strong communication, de-escalation, and therapeutic relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and maintain professionalism.
