Job Description & Requirements+ $500 Travel Reimbursement\n\nMinimum Years of Experience: 2 years experience required\nNICU EXP PREFERRED (Level II NICU - Special Care Nursery)\nTraveler Experience: Unit does not accept first time travelers\nLocals Accepted / Rate Difference: Does not accept candidates within 50 miles of facility\nSkills: Admit and care for labor patients, Must be able to care for mother baby couplets, Level 2 nursey experience required\nCerts: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: ACLS,\n\nCall Requirement: Yes, call required\nCall Requirement: Yes, call required\nFloat Requirement: Float to Nursery, Post Partum, Med Surg and other units when census is low\nWeekend Requirement: every third weekend/4 weekend shifts per contract\n\nPATIENT DIAGNOSES: Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in labor and delivery and post partum care. The postpartum nurse must be able to manage a 3 couplet assignment for a total of 6 patients, attend a delivery as a baby nurse and provide resuscitation and stabilization to the infant after delivery if needed. The candidate must be able to triage 1-2 labor patients, assume labor patients with 1:1 acuity including labor patients with hypertension and insulin dependent diabetics.
