Clinical Laboratory Scientist I
Duarte, CA
6 month contract with possible conversion perm
Schedule:
Evening shifts 8 hours starting at either 12p or 4p.
Must be available to work every other weekend.

Job Description: Position Overview:
Prepares specimens for analysis; performs and reports waived, moderate, or high complexity clinical laboratory procedures. Performs all procedures in compliance with written SOPs and FACT, AABB, ACHI, CAP, FDA and Joint Commission regulations. Assists in teaching students and staff. Works as authorized by the Laboratory Director under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988, CFR Section (a).

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least one year of experience in microbiology. Molecular biology experience will not substitute for this. Must also have experience in reading Gram Stains, especially Positive Blood Cultures, AFB Stains, KOH stains, Fungal Stains, Parasitology stains, and perform Molecular PCR testing.
