We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Travel Agency Manager to lead our team of travel agents and oversee all travel operations. The ideal candidate excels in staff development, travel industry knowledge, and operational management, ensuring clients receive exceptional service while driving account growth.

Responsibilities:

Lead, supervise, and mentor all travel agents to ensure high-quality service and competency at every level.
Manage staffing, including scheduling, vacations, familiarization tours, and business trips.
Develop and implement staff training programs covering sales, products, vendors, and agency operations.
Monitor and analyze agency sales, providing reports and adjusting strategies to maximize productivity and revenue.
Plan and execute travel promotions, events, and client engagement initiatives, including cruise nights and travel fairs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, airline and hotel programs, and preferred suppliers; communicate updates to staff.
Manage vendor relationships, including airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, and wholesalers.
Oversee travel booking systems, contracts, and enhancements, ensuring staff are trained on updates.
Support business development by extending sales to established accounts and assisting in new account solicitation.
Perform duties of a senior travel agent as needed.
Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and service quality standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in travel management:
No degree: 10+ years in the field
Bachelor’s degree: 5+ years in the field
Master’s degree: 1+ year in the field

Thorough knowledge of travel agency principles, airline systems, and hospitality industry practices.
Strong administrative and management skills, including delegation, prioritization, and staff motivation.
Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of laws, regulations, and compliance related to travel services.
Ability to plan, instruct, and assess training programs for individuals and groups.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in travel booking software and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods; able to lift up to 20 lbs.
