The Opportunity

Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Welder to perform precision welding and specialized surface treatment processes on aircraft parts and components. This role requires expertise with TIG welding on thin metals, stainless steel, and exotic alloys, as well as experience with plasma coatings and shot peening. The Aviation Welder will work in compliance with FAA, OEM, and company standards to ensure the highest quality of repair and overhaul work.

 

What you will be doing:
  • Perform TIG welding on thin metals, stainless steel, and exotic materials.

  • Apply plasma coatings and conduct shot peening on aircraft parts and components.

  • Perform part preparation including cleaning, masking, brazing, and stress relief.

  • Fabricate and assemble manufactured parts, tooling, and fixtures as required.

  • Document work in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

  • Read and follow Fvarious regulations, OEM specifications, engineering drawings, and company Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Travel domestically and internationally as required to meet customer and company needs.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as time entry, training participation, and documentation updates.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and hazardous materials procedures.

  • Participate in Lean, Standard Work, and Continuous Process Improvement activities.

 

 

 

What you must have:

  • Experience with TIG welding on thin metals, stainless steel, and exotic alloys.

  • Experience applying plasma coatings and performing shot peening.

  • Background in welding aircraft parts, turbine engines, or aerospace components strongly preferred.

  • Two-year vocational welding degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
