Tax Consultant

$125-175k *Position can be fully onsite or hybrid
*Annual bonus potential Kelly is seeking a Tax Consultant to work with our client, a new start-up venture that has partnered with a successful organization in the business development/personal growth space, on a direct hire basis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax-free strategies, particularly in the context of investments and entrepreneurial ventures.
The Tax Consultant will:
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Research and analyze complex tax issues, and provide clear and concise written and verbal advice to clients
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial benefits for clients
- Stay current with tax law changes and communicate their impact to clients
- Assist with tax audits and provide support during regulatory examinations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
- Collaborate with other departments within the company to provide comprehensive financial solutions to clients
- Train and mentor junior staff members on tax-related matters
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or licensed Tax Attorney
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in tax consulting or public accounting
- Understanding of tax-free strategies, particularly in the context of investments and entrepreneurial ventures, preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with tax software and Google Suite
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards
