Position: Full-Time Surgical Technologist
Location: UPMC Hamot - Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team at UPMC Hamot. In this role, you will assist the surgical team in performing a variety of tasks in the operating room, ensuring sterile environments and supporting the surgeon and surgical assistants during procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience with cardiac procedures and be able to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
We are currently offering SIGN-ON BONUSES for all full-time Surgical Technologist positions! The amount of the sign-on bonus is dependent upon your years of Surgical Technology experience.
\n0-1 years of experience: 2-year commitment $10,000; 3-year commitment $12,000
1-2 years of experience: 2-year commitment $12,000; 3-year commitment $17,000
2+ years of experience: 2-year commitment $15,000; 3-year commitment $25,000

\n Specialty Experience:
Surgical specialties include, but are not limited to: general, orthopedic, vascular, plastic and reconstructive, obstetrics and gynecology, thoracic, ophthalmic, neurosurgery, organ procurement, and endoscopic surgical settings.
Access to Medications:
Access to medications is limited to the distribution of medication to the nurse.
New Graduates:
New graduates of a program sponsored by a nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation can work for up to six months prior to certification but must obtain certification within six months of program completion.
Entry-Level Experience:
Entry-level job with 0-2 years of experience.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
\n Certification Evidence:
The individual must provide evidence of maintaining surgical technologist certification from an accredited program or have been employed to practice surgical technology in a healthcare facility on or before the effective date of House Bill 81 (12/27/2020), or have been employed in a similar capacity in another healthcare facility within two years of the effective date.
