Job Description:
We are a family based in the vibrant neighborhood of Tribeca, seeking an experienced Summer Nanny to care for our two energetic boys, aged 3 and 5. The position will commence in June and extend throughout the summer months, with travel to homes in France and Long Island.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for our two boys, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities to stimulate the children's development and creativity.
- Prepare and serve basic meals for the children, focusing on nutritious and kid-friendly options.
- Walk our beloved Pomeranian dog as needed, ensuring their exercise and well-being.
- Collaborate with another nanny to coordinate schedules and activities, both in Tribeca and during travel.
- Maintain a high level of energy and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the children.
- Accompany the family on trips to France and Long Island, providing consistent care and support throughout.
- Flexibility to work up to 60 hours per week, with two consecutive days off each week.
- Live-in or live-out position available based on the candidate's preference and needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a nanny, preferably with multiple children and in a summer camp or similar setting.
- Basic cooking skills and the ability to prepare simple and nutritious meals for children.
- Valid visa or green card holder to facilitate travel to France and Long Island.
- Must be physically fit and able to keep up with the energy levels of young children.
- Comfortable walking and caring for a small dog.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other caregivers.
- Must be proactive, reactive, and able to anticipate the needs of the children and family.
