AJ2Security is seeking experienced retail store detectives to work at our industry leading client’s store locations. We have built a reputation for providing exceptional service to our clients through our highly professional team of detectives. We currently have openings in Wilmington and Fayetteville North Carolina.

Job Description:

Store detectives are responsible for protecting the assets of our clients (cash, merchandise, property) as well as ensuring a safe and secure environment by doing the following:

· Watching the activity of customers, employees, vendors, and delivery people for suspicious behavior

· Working undercover in plain clothes to detect and apprehend potential shoplifters

· Using cctv and other security systems to monitor activity in client locations

· Filing complaints with police and testifying in court in regards to apprehensions and investigations which you took part in

Skills Required:

 

· High degree of professionalism

· Good decision making under pressure

· Ability to work independently

· Strong report writing and communication skills

· Ability to travel to store locations within 60 miles of home

· Ability to work retail store hours

Experience Requirements:

· A minimum of 6 months of verifiable retail store detective experience required (working undercover to detect and apprehend shoplifters)

· New Carolina State Security License is a plus
