Solve IT Strategies is looking for a Sr Staff Accountant . This role is Hybrid: 6 times/month on site.  Bolingbrook, IL

The Main Responsibilities of a person are:

• Actively participating in period, quarter, and year-end accounting close
• Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and work-papers.
• Collaborating with business partners to gather information supporting accruals and adjustments.
• Analyzing accounting results, investigating variances, and documenting findings.
• Supporting the financial reporting process and communication of results.
• Ensuring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
• Assisting with internal and external audits.
• Providing support for budget and forecast preparation.
• Performing other routine and non-routine functions as assigned by management.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA required.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Retail or public accounting experience preferred.
• Solid analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge
• Understanding of financial processes and internal controls
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates leadership ability and potential.
• Able to work independently, as well as with a group.
• Dedicated and detail oriented.
• Self-starter with a hands-on approach.
• Proficient in Excel and Word, SAP knowledge is a plus.
