Job Description As a key member of the Growth Team, the Senior Proposal Writer will be responsible for the planning, development, and writing of clear, compelling, and compliant content for Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI) responses, whitepapers, and marketing materials. Specific responsibilities include: Author proposals and RFI responses to deliver high-quality, compliant content that is compelling. Manage assigned volumes, leading the development process and facilitating author collaboration to complete within agreed upon timelines. Analyze RFP requirements and participate in planning sessions to understand strategy, solution, and approach to performing the work. Conduct interviews and research to gather information, such as experience and discriminators, for proposals and RFI responses. Author white papers, marketing collateral, and other artifacts to support capture and marketing. Assist in development of clear, concise infographics for proposals, whitepapers, and presentations. Participate in reviews and edit content for consistency, compliance, and quality. NOTE: Candidates will be required to complete an in-house writing exercise as part of the evaluation. This hybrid position is largely remote. Some time will be spent onsite in our Herndon office for in-person activities during core proposal development activities. Projected compensation range is $90K to $120K (annualized USD). Final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability, and other organizational requirements. Required Skills 5+ years of proposal writing experience, with emphasis on technical, management, and past performance content for digital transformation, IT modernization, and IDIQ and BPA proposals. Excellent communication skills, with emphasis on persuasive writing. Strong interpersonal skills and analytical ability necessary to work with subject matter experts to quickly build a general understanding of solution components and technical concepts. Excellent organization and time management skills, to include handling multiple projects in parallel. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Teams, and SharePoint. Desirable Skills Experience conceptualizing infographics for proposals and whitepapers. Experience using AI tools for research and content development. Specialist certification in Microsoft Word.
