Sr. Compound Engineer

What youll be doing:

• Developing and optimizing tire compounds to meet performance requirements for OEM and replacement markets.

• Conducting forensic analyses to enhance product performance.

• Designing laboratory studies and exploring new materials technologies.

• Collaborating with engineers on compound selections and performance benchmarks.

• Supporting plant studies for new compound development and processing improvements.

• Communicating with global R&D centers and traveling to plants as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.

• 515 years of experience in OEM compound development.

• In-depth knowledge of polymers, fillers, tire design standards, and OE product development.

• Expertise in plant-related processes, including mixing, extrusion, calendaring, tire building, and curing.

• Proficiency in statistical design of experiments and a deep understanding of sustainability in the tire industry.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (current passport required).
