Special Education Teacher (Severe Needs) – Warren, MA\n\n

\n\tPosition Details:
\n\nLocation: Warren, MA
\n\tSchedule: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week (8:15 AM – 3:05 PM)
\n\tContract Dates: ASAP start – June 16, 2026 (with potential extension based on district need)
\n\tCaseload: Approximately 8 students, grades K–3 (students on the autism spectrum; some with 1:1 support)
\n\tResponsibilities:
\n\nProvide instruction to students with moderate to severe needs, differentiating lessons to meet individual goals
\n\tManage a team of 4–5 paraprofessionals, creating a structured and positive classroom environment
\n\tLead daily routines such as circle time and small group instruction
\n\tSupport students with self-regulation challenges (e.g., elopement, disrobing, difficulty calming)
\n\tCollaborate with related service providers (BCBAs, PTs, and therapists) who are actively involved in the classroom
\n\tIncorporate augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems where appropriate
\n\tFoster a nurturing environment where young children feel safe, supported, and able to learn
\n\tQualifications:
\n\nModerate to Severe or Severe Special Education License (preferred)
\n\tExperience working with students on the autism spectrum
\n\tAbility to remain calm and supportive in challenging behavioral situations
\n\tStrong classroom management and team leadership skills
\n\tGenuine love for working with young children is a must!
