POSITION PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this position is to shuttle students from the Lakeland Campus or the Founders Club to and from internships, jobs, community service, shopping or entertainment. We currently have flexible part time openings available!

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• This recruitment is to fill a part time shuttle driver position.
• Use exceptional customer service skills in all interactions with students;
• Attend professional development and training programs as required;
• Drive university vehicles (van or mini-bus) to various stops in the Sheboygan County area;
• Keep records of passenger numbers and/or log-book as required;
• Knowledge of report writing and daily drive logs;
• Inspect college vehicles to determine any issues with the vehicle;
• Report any issues with students or drop off locations;
• Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner;
• Assist with academic/special event trips (various times/days);
• Maintain a good driving record on and off duty;
• Service vehicles for fuel when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School or equivalent;
• A valid state-issued driver's license;
• At least 24 years of age;
• Be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Records Verification, Drug and Alcohol Test;
• No previous felony convictions;
• Ability to communicate effectively with the supervisor and co-workers;
• Superior interpersonal and positive customer service skills;
• Ability to work with diverse populations;
• Ability to effectively use a computer, tablet and smart phone.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 30 pounds. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, snow, rain, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
