Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and motivated individual to join our team as a Server/Bartender at Beachcombers Tiki Hut at the Ramada Plaza in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. This is a full-time, individual contributor summer role within our fast-paced hospitality and restaurant environment. As a Server/Bartender, you will have the opportunity to provide excellent customer service while showcasing your bar tending and serving skills. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality and a desire to work in a dynamic and team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $5 to $8 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition to this competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off, and opportunities for career growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take and process food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in adherence to safety and legal regulations
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and behavior, and take necessary steps to prevent over-consumption
- Ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of the bar area, tables, and restaurant as a whole
- Continuously engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or issues
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and responsibly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food to guests
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu offerings and daily specials
- Assist in restocking and inventory management of bar supplies
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards and practices
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a bar tending and/or serving role preferred
- Extensive knowledge of beverage and cocktail preparation techniques
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Candidate must have reliable transportation to and from work
