Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a passionate Principal Software Engineer to join our team and support the Sentinel Program. This role will be based in Roy, Utah , or Huntsville, Alabama .
The selected individual requires software development skills and will be a part of multiple phases of the software development lifecycle including design, development, and test. Candidates should have a solid foundation with best practices in software design, Continuous Integration / Continuous Deliver (CI/CD) tools and processes, and object-oriented programming. Candidates should be familiar with the Agile methodology of software development. This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD or an additional 4 years in lieu of degree.
Experience of hardware-software integration
Experience C++ software development
Experience programming and scripting experience in a UNIX environment (C++, Python, Bash)
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with developing/maintaining CI/CD workflows for software development using GitLab (or similar tools like GitHub, Azure, Jenkins), Nexus (or similar artifact management systems)
Experience with Containers creation and utilization
Experience with CMake build system generator
Experience working with Agile methodologies and Agile development tools
Experience working with multi-domain networks and synchronization across complex platforms
Ability to work in a dynamic environment
Security+ or equivalent certification
Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $158,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
