Senior Technical Media Operator

KLKN-TV is searching for a Senior Technical Media Operator to work with news and technical staff in planning newscasts, taking video feeds, master control, and other broadcast operations. You will be a leader in the production department, leading a team of technical media operators. This is a full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday with the ability to be flexible on weekends. You will…

• Lead team of production staff to meet and exceed newscast goals
• Schedule team of production staff 2-3 weeks in advance
• Direct newscasts using automation
• Work collaboratively with management
• Troubleshoot for clean technical newscasts
• Monitor transmitter, records satellite feeds, and dub in commercials
• Edit video using Adobe Premiere

You have…

• Experience with Tricaster and Newscaster
• Experience with Adobe Premiere required
• News production experience (preferably with Octopus)
• Knowledge of Ross Xpressions Graphics
• A degree in broadcasting, communications, or a related field preferred
• Appreciate a fast-paced environment and breaking news
• Willing to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
