A Senior Systems Engineer job in Cincinnati, Ohio is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and at least five years of relevant experience.
Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline that considers both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed.
Job Duties:
· Conducts component and product integration. All activities that span multiple components and products and are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance and operability.
· Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down.
· Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.
· Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / and partners teams.
· Manages interface between components and execution organizations.
· Responsible for driving CTQ / risk trades within the teams designing the components.
· Manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system.
· Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering
· Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is a requirement
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
· Engineering experience working within the aerospace industry.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
· Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
· Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
· Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
· Established project management skills.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $105,000 to $130,000 annually. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
