About the team: CEO Stefanos was the global Head of Messenger at Facebook. CTO Yandong was CTO of Strava. Other founding members have experience working for Google, Facebook, Uber and other startups.

We are looking for an experienced python software engineer to join our team and work alongside our talented AI engineers to ship powerful messaging products. As our first dedicated Python hire, you'll begin owning systems previously maintained by the committee.

This is an in-person role at our San Francisco office (FIDI). Please be aware that due to the low success rate of the H1B visa lottery, we are unable to sponsor new visa applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead structure and design of new Python systems
• Contribute to core chatbot servers and bot orchestration code - deployed as RPC microservices.
• Contribute to Python RPC endpoints supporting our CRUD APIs
• Contribute to core libraries
• Contribute to DevOps

Requirements

• > 3 years experience working with production Python codebases
• Strong understanding of Python
• Comfort with large Python programs containing many subpackages.
• Async programming experience either `asyncio` or `threading`.
• Experience in at least 3 of the following:
