We’re currently looking for an experienced Property Manager to join a prominent national operator and oversee a newly acquired affordable housing community in Richmond, VA.

This is a compelling opportunity for someone with deep experience in HUD and LIHTC programs who is eager to lead a large, high-impact property through its next chapter. The ideal candidate will be confident managing compliance-heavy operations, leading large teams, and interfacing with stakeholders, including local government and compliance officials.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a 400+ unit HUD/LIHTC property
• Lead a 10+ person team across leasing, maintenance, and operations
• Serve as the primary liaison for VHVA inspections, NSPIRE, MOR, and compliance 
• Collaborate with county officials and attend biweekly meetings regarding site progress
• Oversee remediation efforts related to pest control and maintenance issues
• Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with both HUD (Project-Based Section 8) and LIHTC properties
• Experience managing properties with 300+ units and leading teams of 7+ staff
• Strong understanding of compliance standards, including NSPIRE and MOR inspections
• Familiarity with EIV systems and experience completing related training
• Clear communicator with a track record of improving operational performance
