Senior Payroll Tax Analyst

Salary: $80k - $90k

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee U.S. and Canadian payroll tax compliance, including federal, state/provincial, and local regulations
• Own quarterly and annual payroll tax reconciliations (e.g., 941s, T4s, W-2s, year-end balancing)
• Lead audit preparation for federal/state payroll tax audits and liaise with external auditors and agencies
• Partner cross-functionally with payroll, HR, and finance to ensure accurate reporting and issue resolution
• Drive the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal controls
• Stay current on tax law changes and proactively recommend system or process adjustments
• Manage relationships with external vendors or software providers to ensure service levels and compliance

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of payroll tax experience, with some exposure to Canadian payroll preferred
• Prior supervisory experience or strong leadership skills in a tax/accounting function
