Senior Marine Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Engineer to join our team. As the Senior Marine Engineer you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing marine engineering projects from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing marine structures and systems, ensuring they meet technical standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

Senior Marine Engineer Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage marine engineering projects, including feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design, procurement, construction oversight, and commissioning.
  • Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, calculations, and reports related to marine structures, such as ports, harbors, coastal protection works, and offshore installations.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions, identify project constraints, and propose viable engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including architects, environmental scientists, and contractors, to integrate marine engineering aspects into larger infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations governing marine engineering practices and environmental considerations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Senior Marine Engineer Position Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Naval Architecture & Maritime Engineering or in related Engineering specialty from an accredited college or university.
  • 10+ Years of related Engineering experience / 5-10 years of experience in Naval Architecture and Design.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software for design and analysis is a plus. (AutoCAD, Staad.Pro, ANSYS, etc.)
