Permanent Senior Internal Auditor Opportunity
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor for a major utility company headquartered in downtown Houston, TX. This person will be working heavily with the auditing team of 6, and reporting to the Internal Auditor Manager. In addition, they will partner with the accounting, finance, legal, Treasury, payroll, executives, and field managers. This person will serve as a mentor to the team of newer auditors. This person will be advising on financial, compliance risks, operational risks, process reviews, and internal control validations. You will be responsible for financial, operational, contractor, and vendor audits. You will be developing lead engagements for risk control assessments, efficient/effective audit objectives, audit workpapers, audit programs, testing procedures, and audit staff. They will be communicating the status of audit work with the team, upper management. This person will also assist in the training and development of two newer Auditors and utilize SAP and Coupa daily. You will work a standard 8AM - 5PM schedule in a hybrid schedule (remote M&F) and will need to travel domestically 5-10% of work time (Typically 1-week trips) . You will also be involved in any emergency procedures that arise due to weather or other natural disasters.
