Job Description

Overview:

A Well-established civil and environmental engineering firm that has been serving the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years is seeking a motivated Civil Designer to join their organization. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of civil and environmental engineering projects while collaborating with a talented and experienced team. This full-time position is located in Troutdale, OR.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on a range of projects, including roadway design, residential subdivisions, municipal infrastructure, and commercial developments.
• Utilize Civil 3D and AutoCAD to assist in drafting, designing, and preparing standard engineering documents.
• Design streets, utilities, and grading in compliance with AASHTO, AWWA, DEQ, OHA, and APWA standards.
• Conduct calculations for water systems and open-channel hydraulics using specialized software.
• Support project engineers with document review, material submittals, and construction observation as needed.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience providing civil CAD design support in a professional environment.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Understanding of hydrology and stormwater management (a plus).
• Experience with HydroCAD and WWHM modeling (a plus).
