Job Description

Robert Half's Fortune 100 Financial client is hiring an SEM Manager for a long-term contract! This is a 1-year contract to hire and is onsite 5 days/week in Manhattan. Apply today if this role is a good fit for you!

The In-House Paid Media team functions as an internal media agency, collaborating with various Lines of Business (LOBs) to create a unified marketing experience. Our team provides strategic guidance, internal consulting, and expertise in buying and implementing across multiple media channels.

We are seeking a Consultant of Search Engine Marketing (SEM), equivalent to a Supervisor role within agencies, to develop and execute search marketing campaigns that drive positive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will be confident in presenting to senior stakeholders within the LOBs and adept at clearly communicating performance metrics and optimization recommendations. We are looking for a self-starter with a passion for digital marketing, ready to roll up their sleeves and get the job done.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of search campaigns from concept through execution and reporting, ensuring high quality and attention to detail.
  • Support the development of search marketing plans.
  • Execute and manage implementation hands-on.
  • Manage financial aspects accurately, from forecasting to budget reconciliation.
  • Professionally manage client relationships and set realistic expectations.
  • Deliver effective communications and presentations with poise and confidence, both over the phone and in person.
  • Engage in insightful and meaningful dialogue with LOBs about their search programs.
  • Identify key issues facing clients and develop recommended approaches.
  • Foster partnerships with internal teams to promote knowledge sharing and learning across LOBs.
  • Adhere to Firmwide processes and Paid Media team protocols.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of search experience, equivalent to a Supervisor level (agency experience preferred), managing large-scale, acquisition-focused search programs.
  • Proven track record of executing high-quality search campaigns, preferably with recognized and respected brands (financial experience is a plus).
  • Ability to consistently deliver results under pressure in a fast-paced environment, both as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with Google Ads and Microsoft Ads platforms (experience with Amazon, Facebook, and Pinterest is a plus).
  • Familiarity with third-party tools and technologies (e.g., SA 360, Adobe, Marin).
  • Google Ads certification.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and MS Office.
  • Exceptional time management, project management, and organizational skills to prioritize workload and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and collaborate across groups.
  • Commitment to quality, service, and efficiency.
  • A self-starter and fast learner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels of a business.
