Occupational Therapist Contract Details:

• Job Title: Occupational Therapist
• Location(s): Kelso, WA
• School(s): Varies based on program needs determined by the district.
• Hours: Varies by building – Elem - 37.5 to 40 hours per week
• Year long contract through the School Year.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Pay

• $2,175.00 - $2,625.00 total per week
• Weekly Direct Deposit
• Benefits Available: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k

Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:

• Evaluate students by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Competent in care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and motivate them to reach their goals.
• Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Prepare IEP goals and objectives and maintain progress data to meet the individual needs of students receiving direct services from the occupational therapist.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• WA Occupational Therapy license.
• Must possess or be eligible for Washington State E.S.A. Occupational Therapist Certificate.
• Ability to uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures.
• Must have experience in identifying students with exceptional needs.
• Successful therapy experience in educational setting preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between buildings.
• BLS.
