How You’ll Make an Impact

From Operators to Machinist and Programmers, our team members in our Manufacturing Department can transform a rough product into something complete within exacting tolerances. They enable an organization to produce products on-time and to a customer’s requirement. Our Manufacturing team members work alongside many departments such as: Quality, Engineering, and Operations to produce high-quality products.

What you’ll be doing as a Saw Shop Attendant:

• Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, Washington location.
• Preferred shift time is Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm. Other shift times may also be available.
• Reads production scheduling sheets and identifies required material for the operation. Ensures material meets quality specifications (grade, size, moisture content, etc.).
• Performs setups according to specifications.
• Feeds material according to specifications.
• Periodically checks equipment to ensure specifications are being met.
• Offloads and stacks material in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finish product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Available to work a full-time position with pre-determined shift times.
• Works independently, follows instructions, can concentrate for long periods of time.
• Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for start of shift.
• Properly uses basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, indicators, etc.).
• Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
• Communicates well verbally and in writing.
• Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.

Preferred Requirements:

• One year or more experience in the manufacturing industry.

• Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs.
• Reach forward, up, down and to the side in order to move equipment.

• Access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.

Work Environment:

A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The Saw Shop Attendant Compensation range for onsite Fife, Washington applicants is $19.00 – 21.00/hr. commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
