Safety Coordinator
Denver based Scaffolding Company
Salary to $60K-$70K DOE plus company vehicle and gas card among other benefits
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Safety Coordinator to join our team a leading scaffolding company committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and clients. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• The Safety Coordinator will report directly to the Corporate Safety Director on all health
or safety matters.
• The Safety Coordinator will report directly to the Branch Manager for all other matters.
• Keep all employee training records up to date and work with team to schedule
training for field and yard employees.
• Assist Field and yard employees with hazard recognition and regulatory compliance
including the use of Stop Work Authority.
• Lead conversations with Contractor Safety Personnel regarding site policies and
procedures for scaffold erection and dismantle services.
• Investigate and produce a written report on all accidents, incidents and near misses
regarding employees or customers using company equipment and enter into safety
101.
• Conduct site inspection of the yard, shop, vehicles and warehouse of their facility and
complete the inspection report within the first week of every month.
• Conduct job site safety inspections and complete a written audit report with each
inspection and enter into safety 101.
• Verify each company vehicle and office has a proper first aid kit, hazard signs and fire
extinguisher in ready use condition and perform monthly inspections.
• Document the weekly safety report for corporate to evaluate branch needs and
training of employees.
• Ensure each employee has the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and record
the company provided PPE on the employee training matrix.
• Conduct WEEKLY safety tool box talks in the yard and or project site and complete a
written report of attendance and topics discussed.
• Perform NEW HIRE ORIENTATION for all new or rehire employees and complete
written new hire packet with training matrix for employee file.
