The Rope Access Technician will perform and/or assist NDT Technicians in performing non-destructive Testing of materials. Part Time with potential to go Full Time based on business needs. The successful candidates must be willing to travel out of town on a periodic basis. Job Duties: Set up and calibrate NDT equipment under the supervision of the Certified Technician. Assist or perform NDT inspections. Assist or perform Radiographers in performing radiography of piping and equipment. Assist or perform proper documentation and reporting of inspection results. Become familiar with required codes and procedures to carry out testing. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management. Required Skills and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Valid Driver's License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required. Valid TWIC card required. Pre-employment background checks will be required. 40hr Radiation Safety Training required. Current SPRAT and/or IRATA certification considered an asset. Radiographer state card will be considered an asset. NDT training and experience will be considered an asset. NCCER Insulator certifications will be considered an asset. Physical Requirements: Move, carry, and lift objects 50 lbs. or more. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb. Must be able to demonstrate all skills and knowledge required of Rope Access Level I Technician. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. This position may work in various locations within the U.S. Some locations may be subject to extreme temperatures, working in high places, etc. Potential for exposure to temperature changes, wetness, confined spaces, fumes/odors, working with ladder/scaffolds, working with pressurized equipment, high places, hazardous materials, and working alone.
