Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and reliable Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating a positive dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
• Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
• Offer menu recommendations and answer questions about food and beverages.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using a POS system or order slips.
• Communicate order details to the kitchen staff clearly and efficiently.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
• Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction.
• Address any guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
• Prepare and present checks accurately and process payments (cash, credit cards, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
• Restock service stations with supplies (e.g., silverware, napkins, condiments).
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members, including kitchen staff and bussers.
• Perform opening, closing, and sidework duties as assigned.
• Uphold restaurant standards for service, quality, and cleanliness.
• Experience with Sake service and sales is a plus. 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience as a Server or in a customer service role is preferred but not always required.
• ServeSafe Certification Required 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages (up to [e.g., 25] pounds).
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (certification may be required or preferred, e.g., Food Handler Permit).
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (if applicable).
• Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
