Job Description
The Relocation Consultant calls on existing customers and new customer prospects and works with customers and prospects to plan and implement new service(s) programs which, in turn, will lead to increased sales revenue and improved profitability for Ellefson Transportation Group(ETG) Companies.
The RELOCATION CONSULTANT is responsible for implementation of marketing strategies and plans developed by the V.P. of Sales and the Relocation Sales Manager to grow sales volumes consistent with the profit objectives and capabilities of the Company.
DUTIES:
- Meet or exceed performance related to sales goals, objectives, and plans set forth in Sales Meeting and 1-1 Meetings. Tracks sales to ensure he/she is on target.
- Meet/communicate regularly with established customers and assess the performance of the Companies from its customers’ perspective while at the same time identifying new business opportunities.
- Employ standardized Call Sheet, Proposal and Contract templates in meetings with prospective customers to optimize productivity and capture requisite information to demonstrate our professionalism and technical competence to the customer in a winning proposal or contract that solves the customer’s problem. Work with Marketing Support to keep them current.
- Respond in cases where final proposals involve a new or modified contract for which the Relocation Consultant is responsible.
- Support marketing campaigns for new products and services.
- Gather intelligence on competitor products, sales and marketing activities and provide as feedback to the entire Sales Team.
- Attend and represent the company at selected trade and industry association meetings, Chambers & BNI groups in order to promote the Companies’ products and services and to enhance corporate knowledge of emerging services and technology and maintain awareness of industry capabilities and trends.
- Active participant in company provided training and seeks out opportunities to acquire new product, process and industry knowledge that will improve his/her job capabilities and performance.
- Participate in the weekly sales meetings and 1-1 Meetings and share information on the on-going activities, opportunities and problems for discussion.
