Cornell 2 : Our Medical/Surgical Unit specializes in Neuro Oncology, urology, vascular, and chest tube care, providing a dynamic environment for experienced nursing professionals and new graduates. With a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5/1:6, you'll develop your skills while receiving mentorship from experienced staff. We care for a diverse patient population, including those with CHF, COPD, oncology patients with neutropenia or new diagnoses, amputations, and tracheostomies. Operating on 12-hour shifts with weekend rotations, we offer comprehensive orientation and ongoing professional development to foster collaboration and growth in your nursing career.
Requirements:
As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. If you desire, there are promotional opportunities into leadership or to advance your level of care in a variety of settings. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients.
