Job Description Job Title: Registered Dietitian (In-home, part-time) in collaberation with Amazon Fresh/ Whole Foods Organization : RD Nutrition Consultants Location: Bridgeport, CT Salary: $60,000 per annum Work Hours : Monday-Friday, Business Hours with occasional evenings. Part Time- 16-20hrs/ wk Responsibilities: Conduct initial in-home consultations for individuals newly diagnosed with diabetes, offering education and support to help them manage their condition through nutrition. Provide practical culinary education, demonstrating the preparation of healthy meals tailored to manage diabetes. Distribute fresh fruits and vegetables provided by Amazon Fresh to clients as part of their nutritional management. Guide clients in healthy grocery shopping, providing practical tips and curated food lists to support their dietary needs. Monitor and document patient progress and provide necessary feedback during follow-up sessions. Collaborate with healthcare providers and Amazon Fresh to create holistic care plans for clients. Participate in community events and nutrition education programs as required. Qualifications: Registered Dietitian (RD) certification. Proven experience working as a dietitian, ideally in a community or home-based setting. Experience in diabetes management is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships with clients of diverse backgrounds. Knowledgeable in creating diet plans and providing culinary education. Ability to travel to clients' homes within [City, State]. Bilingual skills preferred but not required. Special Requirements: Familiarity with diabetes nutrition management. Ability to demonstrate cooking techniques and provide culinary education. Strong passion for community health and nutrition.
